This series delves into how we exist and interact with the world around us. Growing from earlier figure studies, Little People is a play on perspective, scale, and an expanding scope. The people are dwarfed by the canvas and off center because the world is not our backdrop; we are a part of it.
Since 2009, this series has shifted and expanded from acrylic paintings, oils, deconstruction, and sewing implements. It’s covered abstract and fleeting feelings, individuals and societies, and world-shaking events.
